BPER Banca is a major Italian banking group with around 1,950 branches and some 23,000 employees, serving approximately 6 million customers — the third-largest banking group in Italy. Its 2025 takeover of Banca Popolare di Sondrio, held at 80.7% pending the merger, added materially to that scale.
Listed on Borsa Italiana (BPE) and supervised by the ECB, BPER reported total revenues of €6.6 billion for full-year 2025 and an adjusted net profit of €2.1 billion — a record €1.8 billion excluding Banca Popolare di Sondrio, up 26.6% year on year.
Main responsibilities
- Developed ESG sustainability tab feature with multiple components including overall score cards, contributions tracking, and objectives visualization, implementing responsive layouts optimized for mobile and desktop breakpoints, and integrating jsonserver for data management.
- Refactored application styling architecture by converting hardcoded hex colors and SCSS map-get functions to CSS custom properties (variables), improving maintainability and enabling dynamic theming capabilities across the Angular application.
- Built and enhanced interactive UI components including slider with configurable parameters and hover state management, ensuring accessibility compliance and proper user interaction feedback.
- Performed bug fixing and code refactoring across ESG components and core UI elements, optimizing component structure, improving responsive behavior, and resolving layout issues for banking platform features.
